About the Job Emergency Room RN
Asa Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ER Nurse will provide high-quality, veteran-centered care in a fast-paced emergency setting. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong clinical judgment, emotional resilience, and a commitment to serving our nation's veterans with dignity and respect.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and individualized nursing care to veterans in the Emergency Department.
- Triage patients based on acuity, and initiate life-saving interventions as needed.
- Administer medications, treatments, and procedures in accordance with VA protocols and physician orders.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate care plans.
- Document all care and patient responses accurately and promptly in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Assist with diagnostic procedures and coordinate with ancillary departments (e.g., radiology, laboratory).
- Educate patients and families regarding treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment consistent with infection control and safety policies.
- Respond effectively in crisis situations, including code blue, trauma, and disaster events.
