Job Description Job Description Medical Assistant - Back Office (Pediatrics) Positions available at: Northridge, La Canada, Agoura Hills, Pasadena. Job Summary Kids & Teens Medical Group is seeking a compassionate, reliable, and motivated Back Office Medical Assistant to join our pediatric team. In this role, you will support our providers by delivering exceptional patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring efficient patient flow throughout the clinic. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children and families and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities * Room patients and obtain accurate vital signs, height, weight, and medical history. * Prepare exam rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and ready for patients. * Assist physicians and nurse practitioners during examinations and procedures. * Administer vaccines and medications as directed by the provider and within scope of practice. * Perform point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and other clinical procedures as needed. * Document patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR). * Provide patient and parent education as directed by the provider. * Maintain infection control and OSHA safety standards. * Complete required GCP and other mandatory training. * Assist with inventory management and stocking of medical supplies. * Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care. Qualifications * High school diploma or equivalent. * Medical Assistant certificate or diploma from an accredited program preferred. * Current BLS/CPR certification preferred. * Pediatric experience is a plus, but not required. * Experience using an EMR system is preferred. * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. * Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment. * Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
