This role works the Day Shift (Monday – Friday; 9:00am – 5:00pm) and includes starting pay of $31.00/hour. The impact you’ll make in this role: As a Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll be responsible for supporting production operations, ensuring quality standards, and contributing to a safe and efficient plant environment. Responsibilities Troubleshooting, repairing and performing preventive maintenance of fork truck, material handling and custodial equipment, both powered and non-powered. Performing general maintenance of facility building and property. Following all safety policies and housekeeping guidelines to ensure a neat, clean, efficient and safe work environment (may include possible hazardous material spill cleanup). Working closely with engineering groups and outside vendors to assist with fork truck and material handling equipment design and debugging. Attending meetings and training as required both internal and external of the plant site. Possessing the ability to clearly speak, understand, and write in English to communicate effectively in both verbal and written contexts. Required Qualifications Possess a technical degree in a maintenance field. OR possess a High School Diploma/GED or higher and two (2) years of maintenance experience in an industrial environment. Nice to Have Qualifications Prior experience operating powered lift equipment. Ability to work at heights. Ability to work overtime or holidays as needed. OSHA 30 Hours Certification. Knowledge of hand and power tools, fabrication principles, basic welding processes, mechanical symbols and nomenclature, mechanical processes and design standards. Computer skills to manage multiple equipment and projects. Ability to read and interpret blueprints. Good communication skills. The starting rate of pay for this position is $25.33, with the potential to reach $32.86. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
