Security Analyst

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Security Analyst in Utah Valley, UT. Summary: We are seeking a Security Analyst to help build and mature a growing cybersecurity program within a technology-driven organization. This role will be responsible for implementing security tools, monitoring risks, managing vulnerabilities, supporting incident response efforts, and driving security best practices across the business. The ideal candidate is hands-on, proactive, and excited by the opportunity to make a measurable impact on an evolving security program. Responsibilities:

• Lead deployment and administration of endpoint security solutions across the organization's device fleet
• Monitor, investigate, and triage security alerts in partnership with security service providers
• Develop, test, and maintain incident response procedures and documentation
• Support investigation, documentation, and escalation of security incidents
• Manage vulnerability identification, prioritization, and remediation tracking
• Administer and review identity and access controls, including MFA and conditional access policies
• Coordinate phishing simulations and security awareness initiatives
• Support security assessments, risk evaluations, and remediation planning efforts
• Partner with infrastructure and operations teams to improve security monitoring, logging, and network security controls
• Produce security metrics, reports, and recommendations for leadership
• Security+ certification or equivalent cybersecurity knowledge
• 2+ years of experience in cybersecurity, IT operations, or technical support with security responsibilities
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft security technologies, including Defender, Entra ID, Intune, or related platforms
• Understanding of security fundamentals, incident response, vulnerability management, and access controls
• Knowledge of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and VLANs
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to assess risks, make sound decisions, and appropriately escalate issues
