Project EstimatorType: Full Time Location: Fremont, Ohio, United StatesEstimatorFremont/Toledo, OhioPosition OverviewMosser Construction is seeking a Water/Wastewater Estimator to support the continued growth of the department. The estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and timely cost estimates for the construction, rehabilitation, and expansion of water/wastewater infrastructure projects. This role will report to the Senior Estimator and supports project planning and business development by analyzing drawings, specifications, and site conditions to determine materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs.The estimator works closely with the estimating team, project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure estimates align with project scope, regulatory requirements, and industry standards. Projects may include water/wastewater treatment plants, lift stations, sewer collection systems, pump stations, and related civil/mechanical infrastructure.Key ResponsibilitiesEstimating & Preconstruction Leadership· Prepare conceptual, budgetary, and final cost estimates.· Perform quantity takeoffs for civil, structural, mechanical, piping, electrical, and process systems· Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids· Review drawings, specifications, geotechnical reports, and project phasing.· Identify risks and opportunities during pursuit development.· Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client discussions· Participate in internal bid reviews and pursuit strategy discussions.Collaboration with Operations· Coordinate closely with project managers and field leadership during estimating.· Support constructability reviews and value engineering initiatives.· Assist in estimate-to-project transition.Continuous Improvement & Team Contribution· Maintain cost history databases and estimating tools.· Support development of estimating best practices.· Contribute to strengthening estimating-operational alignment.Core Values Alignment· Strengthen the Team - Collaborates openly and supports shared success.· Own It - Takes accountability for estimate integrity and communication.· Grow - Seeks continuous improvement of self and supports professional development of team members.· Care - Prioritizes safety, professionalism, and positive impact on teammates, clients, and communities.· Embrace the Challenge - Approaches complex water/wastewater work with resilience and disciplined decision-making.Qualifications· Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (or equivalent experience).· 2+ years estimating experience preferred.· Knowledge of water/wastewater treatment process is not a requirement, but a plus.· Proficiency with HCSS HeavyBid a plus.· Earthwork modeling software experience a plus.· Scheduling knowledge beneficial.· Strong analytical and communication skills.Benefits· Competitive Salary· ESOP – Company stock; Mosser is 100% Employee-Owned· 401k – With company match· Paid Vacations and Holidays· Medical and Dental Benefits
