Join a dynamic healthcare team in the heart of the Midwest as an Associate Nurse Recruiter. This role offers the opportunity to develop and implement innovative recruitment strategies aimed at attracting top nursing talent across regional and national platforms.

General Summary

Under the guidance of senior HR leadership and nursing administration, you will coordinate recruitment and retention efforts, including candidate sourcing, interview coordination, and background checks. Building and nurturing relationships with nursing schools and universities will be a key part of your role, alongside designing targeted recruitment campaigns and advertising.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Develop and execute short- and long-term marketing strategies using diverse media channels such as newspapers, trade journals, social media, and radio to attract nursing professionals.
• Continuously evaluate recruitment strategies to ensure effectiveness and alignment with organizational goals.
• Maintain detailed records of recruitment activities, expenses, and progress toward hiring objectives.
• Network with state, regional, and national professional organizations to identify potential candidates and promote nursing opportunities.
• Represent the organization at career fairs and healthcare events, fostering connections with prospective candidates.
• Collaborate with hiring managers and HR teams to stay informed on recruitment status and coordinate efforts.
• Establish partnerships with high schools, colleges, and vocational schools to promote nursing careers and recruit graduates.
• Conduct initial screening interviews and provide hiring managers with well-informed candidate recommendations.
• Coordinate onboarding processes and new hire paperwork in collaboration with hiring managers.
• Participate in local and regional nursing ceremonies and award presentations when invited.

Education

An associate degree in nursing or a related field is preferred. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.

Experience

A minimum of two years' experience in nursing, recruitment, or human resources is required, with a solid understanding of recruitment and HR practices. Proficiency in computer applications such as Word and Excel is essential.

Certification/License

If a Registered Nurse, a current nursing license valid in the region is required. A valid driver's license is also necessary.

Mental/Physical Requirements

The role demands strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, and excellent communication skills. Physical ability to lift or carry up to 15 pounds is required.

Working Conditions

This position is primarily office-based with minimal physical discomfort. Travel is expected approximately 15% of the time.
