Carle Health Physician Opportunity

Carle Health is seeking a BE/BC Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Geriatric Medicine physician to join our established practice in Urbana, Illinois.

Opportunity Details

Join four geriatricians who support nursing home rounds, along with seven APPs, and three full-time nursing staff.

Primary responsibilities include overseeing patient care at area nursing homes in post acute care, long term care, and assisted living/memory care.

Planned schedule is Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Family Medicine or Internal Medicine candidates with significant geriatrics experience or a fellowship trained geriatrician candidate are welcome to apply.

Hospital practice is not required.

Work in close collaboration with APP team to manage patients' needs.

Physicians will be on call for their nursing home patients during the workday week as needed however APPs handle majority of calls.

Physicians rotate "MD Backup Call" between the four geriatricians serving as a resource to APPs as needed for nights/weekends.

Service uses electronic medical record which is also utilized by local area hospitals.

Part-time positions available.

Opportunity for academic and/or research affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, the nation's first medical school focused at the intersection of healthcare and engineering.

Opportunity to teach internal medicine residents with the Carle Internal Medicine Residency Program.

Optional opportunity to moonlight with Carle's urgent care for extra income.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $310,000 - $315,000. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
