Associate Medical Director, Medical & Scientific Communications

IQVIA's ENOVA division seeks an Associate Medical Director to provide scientific leadership across client accounts and therapeutic areas. This player-coach role balances strategic oversight with hands-on execution, including team development, client partnership, and operational excellence within a health communications firm.
Responsibilities
- Provide scientific direction and strategic leadership across client accounts, therapeutic areas, and initiatives
- Lead, mentor, and develop Medical Directors, Scientific Directors, and medical writers
- Serve as senior scientific advisor to clients and shape medical communication strategies
- Oversee complex initiatives including product launches, advisory boards, and publication programs
- Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of client programs
Requirements
- PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent advanced scientific degree
- 7+ years in medical affairs, medical communications, pharmaceutical, or related healthcare sector
- Proven success leading and developing scientific teams in client-focused environment
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects while maintaining quality standards
- Strong client management and stakeholder engagement experience
- Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment among diverse stakeholders
- Strong business acumen including resource planning and organizational growth
Compensation: $109,400-$304,900 base
