About the Job Overview: The Toledo Salvation Army is seeking a clothing sorter to perform a variety of functions in order to assist in the operation of the clothing sorting area of our Toledo Production Center. Duties:
- Assist as required with sorting room operation.
- Cross-train in all sorting room functions under the guidance of the Sorting Room Supervisor.
- Assist in cleaning and general maintenance of sorting room area.
- Maintain a clean and clutter free work area.
- Other duties as may be assigned by immediate supervisor and/or Administrator
- Process and sort donations by inspecting and separating saleable from unsaleable items.
- Deliver a minimum of 300 store quality garments per hour.
- Categorize and box seasonal clothing, bric, and shoes.
- Process, hang, and tag all sorted merchandise.
- Ensure clothes are hung according to policy and on proper hanger.
- Ensure that tag is properly placed on garment according to Salvation Army policy.
