Travel RN - Cardiovascular ICU

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a CVICU position requiring cardiac and neuro experience, with night shift availability and every-other-weekend commitment.

Job Details

• Acute care hospital setting with 276 staffed beds,
• Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) unit,
• Patient ratio of 1:2,
• Night shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 7p-7a,
• Every other weekend required,
• Holiday rotation required,
• Floating within scope to like units is required, consistent with expectations for staff nurses (travelers float first),
• Charting via Epic,
• No on-call responsibilities,
• Free parking available,

Job Requirements

• Active SC RN license or Compact RN license; candidates with a pending SC license may be considered but must have the license active prior to start,
• Current AHA certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS,
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required (2 years preferred),
• Cardiac and neuro nursing experience required,
• Driver's license and SSN required for consideration,
• 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration,
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,

Additional Information

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel pay rate; non-local candidates are prioritized,
• Previous permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC location must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to return as a traveler,
• Orientation modules are completed pre-start (approximately 4 hours),
• Royal blue scrubs required,
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs,
• Block scheduling may be requested prior to the assignment but is not guaranteed
