Tech - Sterile Processing Tech

Job Summary:
Responsible for sterilizing and processing surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure compliance with sterile standards. Supports surgical teams by maintaining a steady supply of sterile tools and materials. Ensures proper handling and documentation of sterilization procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Operate sterilization equipment and ensure all instruments are properly sterilized according to hospital protocols.
• Inspect, assemble, and package surgical instruments for sterilization and distribution.
• Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and inventory levels.
• Adhere to infection control policies and safety standards in all tasks.
• Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to fulfill instrument needs efficiently.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot when needed.

Qualifications:

• Certified Sterile Processing Technician or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum of 2 years of sterile processing experience in a healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Ability to operate sterilization and processing equipment competently.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain accuracy.
