Job Description:

Summary:

Perform many different tasks, such as, clean-up, demolition, and stocking materials. Ensure that all trades on the project have what is needed to complete the job. May assist with assembling formwork relating to building concrete frames, floor and wall construction. May assist with smoothing and finishing surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, sidewalks, or curbs to specified textures.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Load, transport, unload, and furnish Journeyperson with materials, tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Clean work area and restock supplies and materials as necessary.
• Rake and shovel concrete, dirt, and gravel
• Assist with building concrete forms
• Perform variety of tasks involving use of hands and tools, such as demolishing buildings, sawing lumber, and dismantling forms.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to work rapidly and accurately with hands
• Must be able to repeat tasks of short duration according to a set procedure.
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolding and carry tools and equipment.
• Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, or work at heights as required.
• Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to use arms and hands to reach, handle, and manipulate objects.
• Must be able to follow specific directions.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Must be able to judge straight lines, spaces, and proportions.
• Must be able to read and understand measuring tools and levels.
• Must be able to compare and see differences in the size, shape, and form of lines, figures, and objects.

Education and Experience:

• Some construction experience is preferred. High School diploma or GED preferred.

Resumen : Realizara muchas tareas diferentes, tales como, limpieza, demolicion, y el almacenamiento de materiales. Se asegura que todos los trabajadores en el proyecto tienen lo que necesitan para completar el trabajo. Podria ayudar en el montaje de encofrados relacionados con la construccion de marcos, suelos y paredes de concreto. Podria ayudar en el alisado y acabado de superficies de suelos, paredes, aceras o bordillos de concreto vertido con las texturas especificadas.

Funciones y responsabilidades esenciales:

• Cargar, transportar, descargar y proporcionar a los trabajadores los materiales, herramientas, equipos y suministros
• Limpiar el area de trabajo y reponer los suministros y materiales segun sea necesario
• Rastrillar y palear concreto, tierra y grava
• Construir encofrados de concreto
• Realizar diversas tareas que impliquen el uso de las manos y las herramientas, como demoler edificios, serrar madera y desmontar encofrados
  

Conocimientos, habilidades y aptitudes:

• Debe ser capaz de trabajar rapidamente y con precision con las manos.
• Debe ser capaz de repetir tareas de corta duracion segun un procedimiento establecido.
• Debe ser capaz de subir y mantener el equilibrio en escaleras y andamios y transportar herramientas y equipos.
• Debe ser capaz de agacharse, arrodillarse, ponerse en cuclillas, arrastrarse o trabajar en altura segun sea necesario.
• Debe ser capaz de levantar y transportar objetos que pesen 50 libras.
• Debe poder utilizar los brazos y las manos para alcanzar, manejar y manipular objetos.
• Debe ser capaz de seguir instrucciones especificas.
• Debe poder permanecer de pie y caminar durante largos periodos.
• Debe tener buen ojo para determinar/calcular lineas rectas, espacios y proporciones.
• Debe ser capaz de leer y comprender herramientas de medicion y niveles.

• Debe ser capaz de comparar y apreciar las diferencias de tamano, forma y figura de lineas, figuras y objetos.
  

Formacion y experiencia: - Se prefiere cierta experiencia en construccion. Diploma de escuela secundaria o el grado de Desarrollo Educativo General (GED, por sus siglas en ingles) preferido.
