Assistant/Associate Business Analyst

Job Description

This position is responsible for purchasing, creating, reporting and error resolution of equipment related to Meter Services and Rubber Goods. This individual primarily supports FE Meter Test Shop and FE Meter Services.

Individual will be responsible for the successful validation and uploading of smart meter, legacy meter, and metering transformer information to MMS/SAP systems, identifying and reconciling issues pertaining to these records, performing root cause analysis to identify the source of errors, recommending and implementing solutions to avoid further errors. This individual will also be responsible for purchasing and tracking Rubber Goods orders, along with working with the vendor to resolve any invoicing issues and returned goods authorizations.

Responsibilities include:

• Communicate, observe and interact with Connellsville meter shop employees to identify processing error situations and suggest changes to improve process accuracy and efficiency.
• Interact with Akron and Bethel Meter Test Shop Analysts and Clerk to identify processing errors and improve process accuracy and efficiency.
• Prepare reports for Test Shop Management that identify areas of process improvements and supporting data.
• Prepare and communicate Not In System reports for OpCo Meter Services Clerical Staff and Customer Accounting to identify processing error situations.
• Assisting in the creation of virtual meter/transformers for OpCo Meter Services when requested.
• Analyze meter and transformer device vendor files for accuracy, make corrections to files when needed and communicate inaccuracies to vendor and resolve issues.
• Maintaining and process purchase orders and load meter/transformer records in SAP using Meter Management Software (MMS).
• Create and maintain meter and transformer purchase order packets for internal auditing.
• Using thorough meter and transformer device lifecycle and SAP/MMS system understanding, monitor MMS error que and make corrections to SAP device records and inventory errors, communicate root cause of error and identify business or system processes to be changed to alleviate future problems.
• Assist with conducting and reconciling physical inventory counts for the Meter Shops
• Process Rubber Goods POs and Communicate RGA's back to manufacturer.

An employee hired at the Associate Business Analyst level will be expected to perform all of the above responsibilities with more proficiency, and in a more independent manner. Further, the Associate Business Analyst level employee will be assigned additional responsibilities related to those listed above.

Qualifications

Qualifications at the Assistant Business Analyst level include:

• Associate or Bachelor year degree in a related discipline is preferred, with a minimum 0-2 years related work experience. In lieu of a degree, 2 plus years of direct experience will be considered. The experience must include a basic understanding of the subject matter.
• Experience supporting projects and performing root cause analysis is preferred.
• Solid analytical skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Knowledge of the company's safety policies.
• Working knowledge of the warehouse management and inventory control systems is preferred.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to multitask with prior experience in a warehouse environment.
• Knowledge of material control processes and requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently.
• Ability to make timely decisions that use available material and resources in a cost-effective manner.
• Proficient computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.
• Experience with SAP, Shared Services (SSP) and CCS PRO, CCS PRO.

Qualifications at the Associate Level include all of above plus:

• Associate or Bachelor degree in a related discipline is preferred, with a minimum 2 or more years- related work experience. In lieu of a degree, 4 years of direct, related experience will be considered. The experience must include a general understanding of the subject matter.
• Experience supporting projects and performing root cause analysis is required.
