Surgical Tech, Weekends

Job Summary Part‑time weekend Surgical Technician position at Wentworth‑Douglass Hospital, Dover, NH. 24 hours total (Saturday & Sunday 7 a.m.‑7 p.m.). On‑site. Sign‑on bonus available. Career ladder, benefits including medical, dental, 10 paid holidays, 403(b) and cash balance pension plan. Essential Functions Participates in time‑out procedures. Assists in obtaining extra supplies and equipment as needed. Sets up equipment independently. Participates as an active member of the Patient Care Team. Monitors and continually assesses operating room conditions, including patient and surgical team needs. Prepares patients for surgery, including positioning on the operating table and covering with sterile drapes. Knowledge of SPD sterile room. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required. No experience in lieu of degree accepted. Licenses and Credentials: Certified Surgical First Assistant (CSFA) preferred, Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred, NH Medical Technologist license required, Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Experience: 2–3 years in acute care surgical technology preferred. 4+ years preferred with committee and leadership experience (3–5 years). Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Knowledge of SPD sterile room; ability to multitask and work in a fast‑paced environment; advanced knowledge of sterile processing procedures and policies; familiarity with medical terminology and supply items. Pay Range: $28.78‑$43.12 per hour. Benefits include medical, dental, 10 paid holidays, 403(b), and a cash balance pension plan.
