Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) / Stepdown (Nights)

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute professional and clinical knowledge and skills in the provision and management of patient care as a member of the interdisciplinary team.
• Deliver direct patient care in a Progressive Care / Stepdown unit setting during night shift hours.
• Monitor and assess patients requiring an intermediate level of care, recognizing and responding to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
• Float within the same discipline across local campuses as needed.
• May be required to float to the Emergency Department as directed.

Required Qualifications

• Active Iowa RN license (or compact license accepted per state requirements).
• Minimum of 2 years of Stepdown / PCU experience required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – American Heart Association required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification – American Heart Association required.
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records system.
• First-time travel nurses are welcome to apply.
• Familiarity with Emergency Department workflows is a plus.
