Role Description The Lead Scheduler is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Morristown, NJ, responsible for overseeing daily scheduling operations to ensure timely, accurate, and patient‑centered appointment coordination. This role manages scheduling workflows for clinics, procedures, and diagnostic services, monitors scheduling queues, and helps resolve complex scheduling issues or escalations. The Lead Scheduler collaborates with clinical and administrative teams to optimize provider schedules, support access goals, and maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements. Day‑to‑day tasks include training and guiding scheduling staff, reviewing schedules for accuracy, updating templates, verifying patient information, and using electronic scheduling systems to maintain efficient and consistent processes. The individual in this role is expected to contribute to continuous improvement efforts, support a positive patient experience, and model Atlantic Health’s values in all interactions. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong scheduling and coordination skills, including experience with healthcare appointment scheduling systems and managing provider templates. Candidates should possess customer service and communication skills to interact effectively with patients, families, clinicians, and administrative staff. Candidates should possess organizational and time management skills to handle multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain accurate records. Candidates should possess problem‑solving and analytical skills to identify scheduling conflicts, optimize workflows, and support access and efficiency goals. Candidates should possess supervisory or team lead abilities, including training, mentoring, and providing feedback to scheduling team members. Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in a hospital or multi‑site health system, familiarity with EHR and registration systems, knowledge of insurance verification basics, and understanding of HIPAA and patient privacy requirements. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; post‑secondary education in health care administration or a related field and experience in a lead or advanced scheduler role are preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
