Full-time / Managing OD Needed for a Busy Practice in Abilene, Texas

Job Type: Full-Time Managing Optometrist (OD)

Subspecialty: Primary Care & Ocular Disease

Practice Location: Abilene, TX

Population: 100,000

Physician/ Population Ratio: N/A

MD Or Corporate Owned: OD-owned

Reason for Job Opening: Full-time - OD vacancy beginning November 2026

Experience Requirement: None required; new graduates welcome

Target Compensation: $170,000 annual base salary

Bonus Opportunity: $100 production bonus at 18 exams/day, plus $20 per exam over 20; $200,000 direct student loan repayment over 3 years ($66,667/year)

Retirement Program: Company 401(k) with 3% matching

Other Benefits: Health and dental insurance options for OD and family; OD license and malpractice insurance; $500/year CE fund

Relocation: Negotiable

Vacation/PTO: 15 days per year

Target Start Date: November 2026

Practice Management: CrystalPM

Current patient volume: Average 6–15 exams per day

Support Staff: 1–2 staff members per day
