Transit Bus Driver - Part-time, Woodburn City of Woodburn is seeking a part-time Transit Bus Driver to operate the Woodburn Transit Service on weekends and limited weekday hours. This safety-sensitive role involves driving on a pre-determined schedule, ensuring safe and courteous service to passengers, and maintaining the vehicle’s cleanliness and operational readiness. Schedule & Hours Part-time, up to 19 hours per week. Weekdays: 7:30 am - 10:00 am. Saturdays: 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. Sundays: 8:30 am - 3:30 pm. Responsibilities Operate Woodburn Transit buses on designated routes, following all safety and operational regulations. Provide safe and reliable transportation to passengers, offering assistance to seniors and people with disabilities. Conduct pre-trip inspections, monitor vehicle condition, and report any maintenance issues. Maintain accurate logs of mileage, fuel, and passenger count. Represent the City professionally at all times. Qualifications High school diploma or GED required. Minimum of one year of experience operating a bus or transit van with a wheelchair lift, or equivalent training. Valid Oregon Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and air-brake endorsement. Must pass a pre-employment background check. Mandatory pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing (Federal Transit Administration regulations).
