Staff Internal Auditor

: Position Function:

The internal audit staff's primary responsibility is the performance of operational, financial or compliance audits with a focus on conducting branch audits, performing SOX testing and other departmental audits. In addition, the internal audit staff may be assigned to assist with other internal audits or projects as needed.

Performs all duties and interacts with internal and external customers in a manner aligned with the Company's Core Values of Teamwork, Integrity and Exceptional Services (TIES); Customer Experience Competencies of Customer Interaction, Empowerment and Ownership; and Basic Skills of Listening, Oral Communication, Written Communication, Action Orientated, Thoroughness, Problem Solving.

Primary Accountabilities:

• Follows the prescribed audit program; interviews appropriate personnel; accumulates, verifies, and analyzes available data; reviews available documentation including policies and procedures; performs testing; and identifies existing or potential findings, exceptions or issues.
• Assembles and maintains work papers in a prescribed manner.
• Prepares audit memos and parts of audit reports detailing procedures performed and findings and recommendations and assists in the presentation of the branch audit reports to management personnel. Also recommends improvements to internal controls and processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelors Degree from an accredited 4-year university in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.

Experience:

• 1+ years experience in audit experience with an accounting firm, or 1+ years of experience in financial services industry.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Must be able to work fully in-office during training period and may have potential for this position to be hybrid after completion of training period.
• Must be able to perform light physical work and to move or lift items including but not limited to boxes, files and papers up to 20 pounds unless otherwise as indicated.
• Must be able to operate and proficiently use standard office equipment, including phone, copier, personal computer and/or other work related mechanical or electronic devices and applications.
• Must be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all internal and external customers. Must also be able to hear sufficiently to engage in daily discussions and interactions.
• Must be able to read and understand bank-related documents.
• Must be able to work in a conventional office setting, involving sitting at a desk or workstation for long periods of time. Must also be able to adapt to different work environments as needed to perform the job.
