Overview

Our organization, an esteemed affiliate focused on women's health, is composed of skilled physicians dedicated to delivering obstetric and gynecological care tailored to the diverse age groups of our patients.

Located in Hartford, CT, Woodland Women's Health Associates is currently in search of a full-time physician to enhance our Ob/Gyn practice. Our team consists of 9 MDs and 1 APRN, who share on-call duties and serve patients across three office locations. We maintain affiliations with Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, West Hartford Surgery Center, and Hartford Hospital.

Applicants should possess the capability to accurately diagnose patient conditions and recommend suitable treatments. A solid understanding of fetal growth and development principles is essential, along with the ability to assess and categorize the specific needs of patients based on their age.

Position Highlights:

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and gather comprehensive patient medical histories, including health records and examination results.
• Order or perform therapeutic procedures such as injections, immunizations, and basic wound care.
• Provide instruction and counseling to patients on adherence to prescribed treatment plans, normal growth and development, family planning, emotional well-being, and health maintenance.
• Formulate and execute patient management strategies, monitor hospitalized patients as necessary, document progress notes, and ensure continuity of care.
• Achieve proficiency in the Electronic Medical Record System.
• Submit billing at the time of patient visits.

Requirements:

• Experience in OB/GYN or women's health
• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical institution
• Board certified or board eligible
• Valid Connecticut medical license
• Federal and state controlled substance licenses
• BLS certification
• Eligibility for hospital privileges
• Strong communication skills (both verbal and written), active listening, and customer service abilities
