Professional Case Management, a leader in in‑home healthcare services for individuals with complex medical needs, is seeking a Principal Investigator to guide scientific research and development within our Healthcare & Medical organization. As the senior scientific authority for the Scientific Research & Development department, the Principal Investigator will design and oversee clinical and health services research focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for former energy workers and their families receiving specialized in‑home care. In this role, you will lead the conception, design, and execution of research protocols that evaluate and advance evidence‑based models of home‑based care for medically complex populations. You will be responsible for developing scientifically rigorous study designs, drafting and refining protocols, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities, and translating clinical questions from the field into actionable research projects. Working closely with clinical operations, nursing, case management, and data analytics teams, you will integrate real‑world clinical data and patient‑reported outcomes into research initiatives that directly inform practice. The Principal Investigator will assume primary responsibility for regulatory and ethical oversight of assigned studies, including preparation and submission of IRB applications, informed consent materials, and ongoing reports to oversight bodies. You will ensure strict adherence to Good Clinical Practice, human subjects protection standards, and all relevant federal, state, and payer regulations that apply to in‑home healthcare research. You will oversee data collection methods, quality assurance processes, and data integrity, collaborating with statisticians and analysts to interpret findings and develop meaningful conclusions. This position carries leadership responsibility for cross‑functional project teams, including research coordinators, data specialists, and clinical subject matter experts. You will set clear scientific objectives, timelines, and milestones; monitor study progress; troubleshoot operational and methodological challenges; and communicate status and outcomes to executive leadership and external partners. As a visible scientific leader within Professional Case Management, you will mentor staff, build internal research capacity, and foster a culture of inquiry, continuous learning, and clinical excellence. The Principal Investigator will develop and manage study budgets, assist with or lead grant and contract applications, and support relationships with sponsors, academic collaborators, and regulatory agencies. You will author and co‑author manuscripts, white papers, and conference presentations, ensuring that new evidence is disseminated effectively and incorporated into organizational policies, clinical guidelines, and training programs. Your work will focus on practical, patient‑centered research that directly enhances the delivery of personalized in‑home care. Success in this role requires substantial experience in clinical or health services research within healthcare or medical settings, ideally with exposure to home health, chronic disease management, occupational health, or medically complex adult populations. You should bring advanced skills in protocol development, regulatory compliance, data analysis interpretation, and stakeholder communication.
