Phlebotomist

Labcorp is a global leader in diagnostic testing and drug development solutions. We are seeking a Phlebotomist to join our team at 560 W Putnam Ave, Porterville, CA 93257. Job Responsibilities Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups. Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc. Perform data entry of patient information accurately and in a timely manner. Process billing information and collect payments when required. Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis. Maintain patient and specimen information logs. Provide superior customer service to all patients. Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary. Travel to additional sites when needed. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. Valid California State issued Phlebotomy License. Preferred Qualifications 1 or more months of experience as a phlebotomist. Bilingual with proficiency in Spanish and English. Able to pass a standardized color blindness test. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service. Ability to work independently or within a team environment. Comfortable working under minimal supervision. Flexibility to work overtime as needed. Ability to attend 2‑week training in California. Additional Job Standards In lieu of the state license requirement, an application for a phlebotomy license filed with the CA Department of Health at the time of hire may satisfy the license requirement. Pay and Benefits Pay Range: $21.00 - $33.00 per hour. Employees scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are eligible only to participate in the 401(k) Plan.
