Production Assembler

Job Description

We are looking for a production assembler to build and test components used in data center infrastructure, power systems, racks, cabinets, or related hardware. As a Production Assembler, you will assemble fabricated parts, components or units at floor stations. You will prepare parts for testing, test and calibrate parts and mechanisms to meet tolerances and product specifications. You will perform complex machine set up and identify units that fail tests or tolerance levels and repair as necessary. You will be responsible for proposing measures to increase productivity and efficiency.

Proposing measures to increase productivity and efficiency

Perform simple screening, bagging, boxing, or cutting operations

Inspect and test work for quality

Perform and log scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment

Determine sequence of operations, materials required, and procedures needed

Stage job materials for production according to procedure

Skills and Requirements

• 2-4 years of production assembly experience (experience working in a manufacturing environment assembling products from parts and components)

- 1-2 years of screwdriver experience

- 1-2 years of experience sorting equipment

Proficient with hand tools, power tools, electronics manufacturing and assembly 1-2 years soldering equipment (joining electrical wires or electronic components together using melted metal)

Electronics testing equipment

• 2-3 years of touch up/rework experience (fixing mistakes or defects found during inspection)

2-3 years of wire experience (installing or connecting electrical wires)
