Description American Traveler seeks a Certified Surgical Technologist with liver transplant experience for a hospital OR position requiring weekend availability. Details Hospital-based General OR with an average of 35 surgical cases per day across 22 rooms Requires ability to scrub liver transplant recipient cases independently Weekend schedule with 3x12-hour day shifts, 7:00am-7:30pm Call requirement of 40-60 hours within a 6-week schedule Uses DaVinci Xi Surgical System for robotic cases 100% floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate facilities Cerner charting experience preferred Requirements Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist BLS certification required NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist credential required Experience with large open belly cases, General, Urology, Thoracic, Gyn, Plastics, Whipple, Liver Resection, Liver Transplant, and Free Flap procedures Proficiency in aseptic technique required Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I experience preferred License required if applicable, and must be in hand prior to start date Additional Information Position based in a Level I Trauma teaching hospital environment Candidates must be comfortable with a weekend-based schedule Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval First-time travelers are welcome to apply Local candidates residing in Indiana are accepted at the in-state rate Past IU Health perm or PRN employees must wait 12 months before applying as a traveler Current or past IU Health travelers with 12 months of accrued travel employment must complete a designated break period before becoming eligible again Pay Overview $1,988/wk Assignment Total (13 Weeks) $25,841 Annual Equivalent (52 Weeks) $103,366 Weekly Breakdown Weekly Wages $648/wk Regular Hours $18.00 x 36 hours/wk = $648 Weekly Stipends $1,340/wk Lodging $123.40 x 7 days = $864 Meals & Incidentals
