Job Description

This role will be based in the San Francisco Bay Area, New York, Chicago, or Washington D.C. The work location is hybrid, performed both from home and from a LinkedIn office on select days.

Responsibilities

• Independently draft, review, and negotiate technology‑related agreements for LinkedIn Subscriptions business teams. Representative agreements include subscription agreements, data processing agreements, channel partner agreements, order forms, addenda, and non‑disclosure agreements.
• Collaborate with LinkedIn’s Sales, Deal Desk, Finance, Product, and other cross‑functional teams on internal approvals and escalations to ensure sales transactions are closed on time and in accordance with internal corporate policies and processes.
• Act as a trusted legal partner to the LinkedIn government sales organization and drive new strategic projects and initiatives that impact positive business results and sales opportunities.
• Optimize contract templates, playbooks, and negotiation and management processes for the Legal & Public Policy team to create leverage and efficiency.
• Participate in the Legal & Public Policy team’s pro‑bono initiatives.

Basic Qualifications

• J.D. and admission to the bar or the ability to practice in‑house in your office location.
• 3+ years’ experience practicing as a technology transactions attorney, including a mix of experience in software licensing, cloud services, and/or AI‑related transactions.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with government sales transactions, including with federal, state, local, and education agencies.
• Experience with indirect sales transactions, including with channel partners, resellers, and distributors.
• Proficiency in data privacy and security frameworks.
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS provisions.
• Demonstrated ability to draft, review, and negotiate agreements independently with minimal supervision, while exercising judgment in escalating material issues to senior attorneys as needed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with teams across various disciplines and seniority levels.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this role is $123,000 to $200,000. Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, certifications and specific office location. This may differ in other locations due to cost of labor considerations.

The total compensation package for this position may also include annual performance bonus, stock, benefits and/or other applicable incentive compensation plans. For additional information, visit
