This position primarily focuses on controls and electrical systems (E&I). If you're up for the challenge, and ready to be a vital part of our paper-making journey, this is your opportunity to make a tangible impact.At BiOrigin Specialty Products, our mission is to drive innovative solutions in alignment with our strategic partners to revolutionize the paper and tissue industry to do this, we hold fast in our core values which are the fabric of our culture and the pillars off which we build our community; teamwork, employee investment, integrity, problem solving, and trust.What we need from you:Have extensive working knowledge of the tasks required to perform on all phases of electrical work and design build.Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipmentInstall, maintain, troubleshoot, update and repair industrial control systems and power distribution systems including electric motors, motor control devices, variable speed drives and PLC's.Calibrate and tune Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)Working knowledge of motor control circuitsAbility to use electrical meters to test and troubleshoot electrical problems.Install ridged conduit and duct, etc.Ability to read and understand blueprints, manuals, diagrams, schematics, and ladder logic.Effectively troubleshoot and repair, both electrical, mechanical, and piping issuesExercise sound judgement and discretion in decision making in all phases of responsibility.Record and maintain accurate equipment files such as maintenance and inventory logs.Ascertain priorities and meet deadlines and objectives.Desire to learn to stay ahead of changing technology.Perform precision alignments using various methods.Adhere to all company policies, safety policies, and procedures.Assemble, install, and maintain mill piping and related pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, including but not limited to gauges, valves, pressure regulators.Perform preventive and predictive maintenance (PMs) on all mill machinery and equipment.Clean, lubricate, and repair bearings (roller, spherical, and taper bore), gears, shafts, and other machinery components.Operate welding equipment, cutting torches, and plasma cutters; ability to MIG, TIG, and Stick weld.Rigging of rolls and equipmentAbility to fabricate parts or components from blueprints or drawings, or verbal concepts.Knowledge of pumps ranging from chemical metering to large centrifugal pumps.Other duties as deemed necessary and assigned by management.Minimum qualifications:Industrial Maintenance Certification, not required but highly desirable.A minimum of 3-5 years of multi-skill (millwright/mechanic) experience with an emphasis in controls and electrical systems is preferred.Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English.Perform math calculations including addition, subtraction, multiple, and divide all units of measure using whole, fractions and decimals.Willingness and ability to work 8 hours shifts Monday-Friday, be on a 24 hour on-call rotation (additional pay), rotating weekends, and overtime as needed.All candidates must pass pre-employment screening, drug screen, physical and criminal background screening.Physical demands and Working conditions:Must be able to lift 50lbs and lift up to 100lbs with assistance.Physical demands include standing for long periods of time, walking, using hands and arms to handle, feel or reach, climb, balance, stoop, knee, crouch, and/or crawl in confined spaces.Exposure to moderate frequent noise and occasional loud noise, dust, heat, cold, dry and damp air.What you get from us:Medical insuranceDental and Vision insurancePrescription Drug BenefitDisability insuranceLife insurance401(k) with company matchHealth Savings accountPaid time off and Paid HolidaysBiOrigin Specialty Products provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
