Description: Registered Nurses in this position will work in a progressive care unit. Day shift will be three consecutive 12-hour shifts, requiring flexibility for weekends. A minimum of 1 year of nursing experience is required. Nurses will provide care for critically ill patients and those requiring telemetry monitoring. Patient ratios are aimed at 4 to 5 patients per nurse during shifts. Candidates should possess skills in BiPAP/CPAP management and the interpretation of dysrhythmias. Experience with cardiac telemetry and managing cardiac drips is essential. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to manage a variety of patient diagnoses, including neuro/stroke and cardiac patients. Candidates must be prepared to float within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitals when necessary. Applicants must have the ability to work holidays. Two supervisory references are required for applicants. Candidates will need to provide verification of required certifications. Experience in using the Epic charting system is preferred.
