Senior Maintenance Operations Manager

Job Description:

Korbel Champagne Cellars is seeking a Senior Maintenance Operations Manager to lead all maintenance operations to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of Korbel’s production, packaging, utility, and facility assets. This position provides strategic leadership for maintenance personnel, reliability initiatives, capital projects, CMMS administration, contractor management, and continuous improvement efforts. The Senior Maintenance Operations Manager plays a critical role in supporting Korbel’s ongoing modernization, automation, and infrastructure improvement initiatives while maximizing equipment uptime, reducing operational risk, and ensuring long-term asset performance.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

•  Direct all maintenance operations to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective operation of production, packaging, utility, and facility assets.
•  Lead maintenance supervisors, planners, technicians, electricians, contractors, and support personnel.
•  Own and drive equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, and asset management programs.
•  Serve as executive sponsor and owner of the company CMMS platform, ensuring accurate work order, asset, inventory, and maintenance data management.
•  Establish and monitor maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime, downtime, PM compliance, schedule compliance, and maintenance cost performance.
•  Lead root cause analysis efforts and implement corrective actions to eliminate recurring equipment failures.
•  Develop annual maintenance operating budgets and support long-range capital planning.
•  Manage capital projects including equipment installations, upgrades, facility improvements, automation initiatives, and infrastructure modernization.
•  Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Facilities teams to support manufacturing objectives.
•  Oversee plant electrical systems, controls, instrumentation, automation systems, and contractor activities.
•  Ensure critical spare parts strategies, inventory accuracy, and asset lifecycle planning.
•  Develop workforce capability through training, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning.
•  Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, safety, productivity, and operational excellence.
•  Perform other duties as assigned in support of company objectives.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

•  Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, Operations Management, Business Management, Supply Chain, or a related manufacturing, technical, or operational discipline.
•  Minimum 10 years of progressive leadership experience in manufacturing, maintenance, reliability, engineering, operations, or related industrial environments.
•  Minimum 5 years of leadership experience managing maintenance teams, supervisors, planners, contractors, or technical personnel.
•  Experience leading maintenance operations in food & beverage, winery, packaging, pharmaceutical, or other manufacturing environments.
•  Demonstrated experience managing capital projects, equipment installations, commissioning, and manufacturing improvement initiatives.
•  Strong understanding of CMMS systems, maintenance planning, reliability principles, asset management, budgeting, and continuous improvement. (SCADA)
•  Excellent communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

The annual salary range for this position is $132,996-$186,204.
