POSITION SUMMARY

Fortvita Biologics is seeking an Accountant or Sr. Accountant to support our US Finance function. Reporting to the Head of Finance, this role focuses on general accounting, monthly close, accounts payable, and cross-functional finance support. As Fortvita continues to grow, the scope of this role will evolve to reflect business needs and organizational priorities.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Execute monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations Manage accounts payable processes, including invoice receipt, coding, approval workflow, and vendor payment Review and process employee expense reports in accordance with company policy Maintain fixed asset schedules and support periodic physical inventory counts Prepare and maintain close checklists and supporting documentation; track and resolve open items on a timely basis Support internal controls documentation and assist with process improvement initiatives Support global consolidation and reporting requirements in coordination with the corporate finance team Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders including Operations, HR, IT, and Legal to support finance processes and approvals Liaise with the global finance team to support group reporting, consolidation requirements Support external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance activities Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 2–5 years of progressive accounting experience Working knowledge of US GAAP, general accounting principles, and internal controls Experience with ERP systems; exposure to large-scale ERP environments is a plus 5+ years of accounting experience with demonstrated ownership of close processes Ability to operate independently and drive resolution of issues with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

2-5 years of biopharma or life sciences industry experience preferred Familiarity with expense management systems (e.g., Concur) preferred CPA or CPA candidate preferred Bilingual in English and Mandarin preferred Competencies / Core Skills Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline High degree of integrity, professionalism, and discretion Proactive and execution-oriented, with strong ownership and follow-through Effective communicator with the ability to work cross-functionally and across time zones Fortvita is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
