See how your contributions will help transform vision into reality.Parts Inspector/ Parts Finisher OverviewPosition builds and repairs fiberglass boat hulls, decks, and small parts using spray gun with paint, buffer with wax, polish, compound, fillers, putty, and/or pasteHand tools may include gel-coat spray equipment, grinders, buffer, drill, or other specialty tools and fixturesResponsible for parts inspection and an understanding of fiberglass finish or basic use of abrasivesWorks following specific job instructions, frequently reading and providing verbal and/or written status of part completionMay include handling and application of solvents, paints, pastes, putty, and wax along with proper disposal.Ability to recognize and protect precious boat components while performing finishing duties.At Brunswick, we have passion for our work and a distinct ability to deliver.RequirementsPersonal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements could include face respirators, dust masks, gloves, and chemical resistant suitsAbility to work a 10+ hour shift standing, bending, reachingModerate lifting ability up to 50 lbs.Ability to work in a non-climate controlled environment.Must be able to work efficiently and effectively to achieve daily goals.Ability to work in a fiberglass dust environment and a fast paced, noisy environmentAbility to work overtime (planned and unplanned)Must follow all safety and quality standards at all times, including chemical handling standards and PPE (personal protective equipment)Fiberglass repair and finishing experience preferredUnderstand and follow verbal and written directionsAbility to read and understand blueprintsAbility to use hand, and pneumatic tools, buffer and abrasive sanding tools/suppliesAbility to work with fellow coworkers in close proximity and in a team environment displaying mutual respectAbility to fluently speak, read, understand, and write EnglishDiversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role.
