Dietary Assistant

Barre Gardens – Barre, VT

Barre Gardens is seeking a dependable Dietary Assistant to join our skilled nursing facility in Barre, VT!

As a Dietary Assistant, you will work alongside dietary and healthcare professionals to provide quality food service for our residents while following established dietary policies, procedures, and food safety standards.

Shifts Available

• Full-Time

• Part-Time

• PRN

Responsibilities

• Assist in serving meals in a timely manner

• Assist the cook with meal preparation and food production

• Serve food trays from carts and dining rooms and transport them to the dishwashing area

• Clean worktables, meat blocks, refrigerators/freezers, and other kitchen equipment

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment

• Follow all dietary, sanitation, and infection control policies

• Assist with kitchen cleanup and other dietary duties as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred

• We are now accepting applications for 16–17-year-olds (conditions apply)

• Previous dietary or food service experience preferred

• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
