Job Location: NEW BEDFORD, MA 02745 Salary Range: $22.00 - $32.00 Hourly Poyant Signs is looking for experienced metal fabricator candidates with strong steel and aluminum welding skills and good attention to detail to join our team of craftsmen. Poyant is a leader in supporting some of the best known local, regional and national brands including CVS, Dunkin, Target, Puma, Town Fair Tire and many more. We care and support our staff with a true team culture, on‑going training, and competitive benefits. Responsibilities Reading and understanding construction drawings assembly instructions. Taking part in production/fabrication meetings. Verifying dimensions and product specifications. Ensuring that all the required materials for fabrication are present. Ensuring that all components are properly built, aligned, and fastened. Ensuring that quality control standards are met. Maintaining a production schedule. Working within job budgets. Reporting and detailing product defects. Adhering to assembly safety standards. Use of E-Drawings (select jobs). Reporting materials used. Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Experienced welder with both aluminum and steel. Experienced with various industrial equipment (e.g., circular saws, drill presses, brakes, punches, grinders, routers and cutting torches).
