Job Summary

PARAPROFESSIONAL
182 DAYS - 8 HOURS PER DAY

DUTIES:

The duties include but are not limited to:

• Assists in carrying out daily lessons as organized and planned by the teacher.
• Rides the bus in the morning and afternoon with students.
• Assists the teacher with class procedures.
• Assists the teacher with testing and grading procedures.
• Works with the teacher in reinforcing class discipline rules. Discipline is to be handled by the teacher.
• Establishes and maintains standards of student behavior needed to provide an orderly, productive environment.
• Performs any other duties as designated by the principal and/or classroom teacher.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have completed at least two years of study at an institution of higher education, which may be accomplished by documented successful completion of 48 semester hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; OR

Must have obtained an Associate's degree, which may be accomplished by documented successful completion of 64 semester hours at a regionally accredited institution of higher education; OR

Must have a score of 3 or higher on WorkKeys in Applied Math, Workplace Documents and Business Writing.
