About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief People Officer to lead the next chapter of its people, culture, and growth. The successful candidate will be a high-impact leader with a strong background in HR, particularly in the restaurant, wellness, fitness, or retail sectors. This role is pivotal in scaling and modernizing the people function while preserving the company's unique, people-first culture. Responsibilities include partnering with the CEO and Executive Team to enhance leadership capabilities, develop scalable systems and processes, and elevate the employer brand. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a high-growth environment, be adept at balancing strategic planning with hands-on execution, and have a deep understanding of California employment law. Key requirements for the Chief People Officer at the company include a minimum of 15 years' of progressive HR leadership experience, a focus on building leaders and succession plans, and a strong background in managing wage and hour claims. The role demands a leader who is positive, accountable, and influential, and who embraces technology and innovation in HR practices. The candidate should be adept at protecting and nurturing the company's culture while also mitigating organizational risk. A deep understanding of how culture drives operational excellence and experience with HRIS, payroll, scheduling, and operational platforms that support scale are essential.
