Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Previous experience in K-12 educational settings, particularly with students requiring individualized learning plans
• Strong understanding of IEP development, progress monitoring, and compliance with federal and state education regulations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with students, staff, and families
• Flexibility, creativity, and patience in adapting lessons and instructional strategies
• Proficiency implementing assistive technologies and accommodations

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student
• Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with IEP mandates
• Collaborate regularly with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Support students in both resource and inclusive settings as needed
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that celebrates diversity and encourages student growth
• Participate in IEP meetings, team planning sessions, and ongoing professional development
