About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tree Groundsperson to join our team. As a Tree Groundsperson, you will be responsible for maintaining and caring for trees on our clients' properties. Your main goal will be to ensure the health and safety of the trees, while also enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the surrounding landscape. You will work closely with our team of arborists and other groundspeople to ensure that all work is completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a Tree Groundsperson or similar role
• Knowledge of tree care and maintenance techniques
• Ability to operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Plant health care experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification as an arborist or similar qualification
• Experience working with a variety of tree species and in different environments
• Experience with pest and disease management
• Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Strong problem-solving skills

Responsibilities:

• Performing tree maintenance tasks such as pruning, trimming, and shaping trees
• Identifying and diagnosing tree health issues and providing appropriate treatment
• Operating and maintaining equipment such as chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts
• Ensuring that all work is completed safely and in accordance with industry standards and regulations
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used

Skills:

As a Tree Groundsperson, you will use a variety of skills on a daily basis. You will need to have a strong understanding of tree care and maintenance techniques, as well as the ability to operate and maintain equipment safely and effectively. You will also need to be able to work independently or as part of a team, and have strong problem-solving skills. Additionally, you will need to be able to communicate effectively with clients and team members, and maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
