Clinical Nurse - Physician Access Line

Role Overview This position provides a critical link for referring physicians, offering 24/7 support for patient admissions, consultations, transportation, appointment scheduling, and information requests. It involves a hybrid work model, primarily during evening and night shifts, with weekend and holiday rotations. Responsibilities Deliver patient and family-centered care, including education on managing illness, medications, and post-treatment needs. Participate in activities promoting patient safety, quality, and compliance, while engaging in ongoing professional development. Develop, implement, and document individual care plans collaboratively, ensuring clear communication across care teams. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, respecting patient preferences and cultural considerations. Work in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness and adherence to safety protocols. Qualifications & Skills Minimum education: Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing; preferred Bachelor's Degree. Licensure: Active RN license. Experience: At least 2 years in pediatric ICU or ED nursing preferred. Additional skills: Computer proficiency and typing skills.
