Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (12-Hour Nights)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | 15-Week Assignment | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across a high-acuity, high-volume Emergency Department serving a neonate-to-geriatric population including pediatric medical and trauma cases
• Perform triage using ESI methodology; must pass the facility's Triage Test prior to triaging patients
• Administer medications via barcode scanning, manage medication drips, and perform blood product administration
• Assist with trauma and code cases, set up chest tubes and arterial lines, apply splints, and manage BiPAP/ventilator patients
• Support stroke care (TNK administration), cardiac cases, and behavioral health and substance use disorder patients
• Stabilize and prepare high-acuity patients for transfer, including neurosurgery, multi-system trauma, and high-acuity pediatric cases

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a large-volume, high-acuity Emergency Department
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS or ENPC, and TNCC
• Proficiency with Epic EMR (required)
• Triage experience required; must pass facility's Triage Test before triaging independently
• Experience with barcode scanning medication administration, drip management, blood product administration, chest tube and arterial line setup, splinting, and BiPAP/ventilator management

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Pediatric emergency medicine experience highly preferred
• Experience with Point of Care Labs
• Familiarity with Level III trauma center workflows
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
