Cat Scan (CT) Technician

This position includes a $20,000 Sign-on Bonus for a twenty-four-month full-time commitment. 

Schedule: this is a full-time, night shift role that offers some schedule flexibility and will work either 5x8s or 4x10s. This role could work Monday through Thursday from 11 pm to 9 am or Monday through Friday from 12 am to 8 am or 11 pm to 7 am.

How you'll contribute

A Cat Scan (CT) Technician who excels in this role:

  • Reviews patient history and physician's orders.

  • Educates patient regarding procedures, equipment and exam to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.

  • When ordered, prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within scope of practice.

  • Monitors patient condition continually and reports/responds to changes in status as appropriate.

  • Prepares equipment and supplies.

  • Implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment.

  • Troubleshoots, resolves, and/or reports equipment malfunctions as necessary.

  • Positions patient and performs imaging procedure(s).

  • Analyzes results and identifies issues with the quality of imaging results.

  • Takes appropriate action to resolve image quality issues, including repositioning patient and repeating procedure.

  • Enters, transmits and reports scan results.

What we're looking for

Applicants should have a current NM Radiologic Technologist license and be a graduate of an ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine required with an associate's degree preferred. Additional requirements include:

  • Certification/License: 

    • Basic Life Support (BLS) current upon hire.

    • ARRT, JRCERT, ARMRIT, or NMTCB registry in Radiology, Radiation Therapy, MR, or Nuclear Medicine Registry required. 

    • ARRT Registry in Computed Tomography (CT) required (within 1 year hire/transfer).

      • If not ARRT(CT) upon hire, you must work under the supervision of an ARRT(CT) technologist until your ARRT(CT) is obtained.
