About the Position

Job Title: RN Step Down Profession: RN Step Down Specialty: RN Step Down Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 06:45 PM - 07:15 AM Hours per Shift: 13 Experience: Minimum 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Certification Must-Have: CV and vascular experience Description: The position involves managing patients on high-flow nasal cannula (HFNC) and bilevel positive airway pressure (BIPAP). Experience in stable glucose titration management is required. Candidates should be familiar with postoperative care for patients following CABG, AVR, and MVR procedures. Experience with patients recovering from abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) repair, lobectomy, carotid endarterectomy (CEA), and non-ST elevation myocardial infarction (NSTEMI) is essential. Knowledge in managing STEMI, acute coronary syndrome (ACS), and patients with pacemakers is necessary. Experience with sepsis, gastrointestinal bleeding (GIB), post-diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA), respiratory failure, and tracheostomy care is also required. This role involves the care of patients in a 30-bed stepdown unit, with responsibilities that may float between critical care service lines.
