Unit Specifics: Number of Beds: 30 Patient Ratios: 6:1 on Acute Care 4:1 on Neuro Stepdown Unit Staffing Description: 1 RN Charge, 1-2 Techs, and a unit secretary Type of equipment: Acute Care side: Vital sign machine, high flow oxygen, chest tubes, suction, and various drips. All things stroke. Neuro stepdown: Vapotherm, Bipap, Trachs, titrating cardiac drips

Documentation System: Meditech Scheduling Requirements: Weekends shifts are required. Floating Policy: Experience nurses can float after orientation

Patient Experience Requirements: Bedside shift report, personal connection, and daily huddle

Certifications: BLS for Acute Care BLS and ACLS for Neuro Stepdown Hiring Profile Requested Skill Set: Must have: Acute Care strong nursing skills and time management. Neuro stepdown, I would like stepdown experience. Advanced skills needed: Strong critical thinking skills

Procedures Performed on Unit: The most common are lumbar puncture and chest tube placement
