ABOUT THE ROLEYou will be working on the Peloton Product Engineering team within the Connected Fitness organization, building the core software that powers the screens on our flagship hardware products. This includes developing the primary member-facing application that comes embedded on every Peloton Bike, Tread, and Row. You will get the opportunity to develop highly engaging, customer-facing features and shape the on-equipment software that delivers our best-in-class fitness experiences directly to our Members.YOUR DAILY IMPACT AT PELOTONAs an Android Engineer, you will be responsible for iterating on the process, technology, and communication throughout your team. You will also have the responsibility to assist and grow the more mid/junior engineers around you.YOU BRING TO PELOTONPassion for building scalable and responsive customer-facing applications4+ years of software development experience, 2+ years of Android development experienceSolid experience interacting with REST APIsSolid understanding of Kotlin and JavaSolid understanding of architecture patterns, namely MVVM and MVISolid understanding of Android threading and processingExperience with profiling UI, memory, and threading in AndroidAbility to collaborate with UX and design teams on design execution feasibilityAbility to effectively translate Product, UX, and UI requirements into code implementationsAbility to accomplish complex engineering tasks independentlyAbility to manage complex cross-team coordinations and work closely with product ownersAbility to evaluate and communicate different engineering solutions and trade-offsAbility to leverage AI-first coding tools, such as Claude CodeB.S. in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent years of work experienceBONUSHave experience with automation testing, such as EspressoHave Github project(s) or contribute to open source communitiesHave continuous build experience in an Agile EnvironmentHave experience using gRPC and GraphQL#LI-KN1#LI-HybridThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position based at our New York City headquarters. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including, without limitation, experience and business objectives and if the location for the job changes.
