Job Title: RN - IMC Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Progressive Care Unit Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 Year License: RN Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: - BLS - ACLS - NIHHS Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Intermediate Care Unit. The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. No on-call requirements are necessary. The unit has 34 beds and a staff consisting of 9 nurses and 4 patient care technicians. Day shift includes 1 charge nurse along with 9 nurses and 4 technicians. Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, and 4 technicians. Patient ratios are 4:1. Common equipment used includes bedside monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts. Candidates must have experience with emergent procedures like chest tube placement, midlines or PICCs, and bedside bronchoscopy. The ideal candidate should be teamwork-oriented. Uniforms required are navy blue tops and pants. Permanent positions are available on the unit. This unit values new technology and the experience of its staff.
