CT Technologist - Per Diem

Role Summary: Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists perform diagnostic, therapeutic, or research imaging procedures involving ionizing radiation. They independently operate or assist licensed practitioners in acquiring and analyzing data for diagnosis, intervention, and therapy, ensuring patient safety and adherence to regulations. Key Responsibilities Obtain correct orders, properly identify and prepare patients, and document clinical history while maintaining confidentiality. Utilize appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure. Prepare and administer medications via vascular access as prescribed, and evaluate image quality and positioning. Verify data storage, assist with interventional procedures, and educate students and healthcare providers. Perform CT procedures as directed, ensuring safety and quality standards are met. Qualifications & Skills Certification by ARRT or NMTCB required upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment. Ability to perform or assist with advanced procedures, with a focus on patient safety and technical accuracy. Graduation from a specialized radiologic technology program; a bachelor's degree is preferred. Additional Information: Work typically occurs in a clinical setting.
