Procurement Specialist

Location: Irvine, CA 92618 Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (On-site) Employment Type: Contract / Temporary

LHH is seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist for an on-site opportunity in Irvine, CA. This role supports purchasing operations, vendor communication, and internal customer service in a fast-paced, team-driven environment. The ideal candidate will have strong customer service experience and familiarity with procurement systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and CRM systems (ServiceNow) within established response timelines
• Document all interactions and perform follow-ups as needed
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to purchase orders, vendors, and procurement processes
• Support users navigating online ordering platforms (including Oracle iProcurement)
• Communicate with internal teams and vendors to resolve account or ordering issues
• Analyze support data to identify trends and recommend process improvements
• Assist with system testing, enhancements, and rollout of procurement tools
• Contribute to internal documentation and training resources
• Support purchasing projects, supplier transitions, and additional team initiatives

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of 2 years of customer service experience required
• Procurement, sourcing, or purchasing experience preferred (especially within healthcare or multi-site environments)
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Experience using online ordering or procurement systems required
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $22.00 per hour

Work Environment & Additional Information

• Moderate office environment with standard equipment and computer usage
• Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 15 lbs
• Overtime may be required based on business needs
• Consistent attendance and adherence to company policies are essential
