Different focuses, same mission: make it possible for T-Mobile to move fast on AI without ever having to choose between speed and safety.Responsibilities:Design and implement retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines to ground AI responses in enterprise knowledge sources.Develop AI models to enhance customer service automation capabilities with measurable improvementsApply prompt engineering and fine-tuning techniques to optimize AI system performance effectivelyCreate AI tools that support integration of AI-driven improvements into operational frameworksCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and functionality of AI systemsDesign AI systems that improve interaction capabilities within complex service workflowsContribute to strategic AI initiatives that advance organizational goals of customer satisfaction and efficiencyAlso responsible for other duties/projects as assigned by business management as neededKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Required:Data Management/Data Modeling - Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG); Vector Databases/EmbeddingsPrompt Engineering - LLM orchestration and RAG workflow designPython - LLM Orchestration Frameworks, e.g., LangChain, ADKCloud Computing - RAG deployment, LLM application infrastructure, vector database/cloud AI servicesData AnalysisModel TuningCustomer-FocusedCollaborationEducation and Work Experience:Required:Bachelor's Degree plus 3 years of related work experienceOR advanced degree plus 1 year of related work experience.Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science.2+ years developing and deploying machine learning models, including fine-tuning and prompt engineering.2+ years experience with AI tools and software development using programming languages such as Python or R.2+ years collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into business workflows.Licenses and Certifications:Certified Analytics Professional (CAP): Certification that validates an individual's expertise in data analytics processes, including the ability to model and interpret complex data. (Preferred)Machine Learning Certification: Certification demonstrating proficiency in machine learning techniques and applications, relevant for developing AI models. (Preferred)Certified Data Scientist (CDS): Certification that endorses skills in data science and its application in AI modeling, crucial for enhancing AI-driven customer service solutions. Actual earnings may be higher or lower depending on individual performance and overall company results. The base pay range reflects the compensation component of this opportunity. The candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range. To find the pay range for this role based on hiring location, T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on individual and/or company performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
