2K is headquartered in Novato, California and is a wholly owned label of Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTWO). This role will be based in Novato or Los Angeles.

What We Need 

We're looking for a Director of Marketing Operations to lead the operational structure and strategy that supports our marketing and player needs as we prepare for launch and live service.

This is a chance to build the operating foundation for marketing a new AAA live-service game at 2K. In partnership with the Head of Marketing and the Head of Operations, you'll define the publishing-level operating model for live-service marketing, including planning cadence, decision rights, readiness standards and how results shape future plans. Marketing owns what we do and why, and this role owns how it gets planned and delivered. The role reports to the Head of Operations, is dedicated to supporting Marketing, and leads the definition and execution of those processes, working closely with Brand, Creative, Media, Community, Partnerships and central 2K Marketing. It also directly manages the Marketing Operations team and helps standardize how Marketing plans and operates across the BU.

What You Will Do 

• Partner with the Head of Marketing and the Head of Operations to define the live-service marketing operating model: planning cadence, decision rights, readiness standards and the feedback loop from results to future plans
• Build Marketing's readiness plan for launch and live service, covering the capabilities, processes, staffing and partners we'll need, and sequence the work to get there
• Lead time-bound, high-ambiguity player first projects end to end across Studio, Publishing, and/or centralized 2K functions (Legal, Finance, Localization, Insights, Ratings, Core Tech, SDS, partnerships, etc.), building the plan, RACI, and workback schedule as needed
• Act as a trusted advisor and operations partner to BU leadership, surfacing risks early and facilitating alignment across competing priorities.
• Stand up and run marketing governance, including campaign greenlights, readiness reviews and marketing business reviews. Drive the agendas, materials and follow-through through the Marketing Ops team to ensure decisions turn into finished work
• Build the marketing and live-service calendar and planning infrastructure, including workbacks, milestones and readiness criteria
• With the Marketing Ops team, capture marketing decisions and action items, assign clear owners and track them to closure, escalating stalled items before they become risks
• Represent Marketing's plans and needs in the BU's cross-functional workstreams, partnering with Business Operations on shared milestones and dependencies
• Set up how Brand, Creative, Media, Community, Partnerships and central 2K Marketing plan and work together, including clear handoffs and ownership
• Define Marketing's approval and requirements needs with central 2K functions (Legal, Finance, Localization, Insights, Ratings) and platform partners, and partner with Operation Services on the system that supports them at live-service scale
• Build the marketing budget, forecasting, CAPS and resourcing model, and raise tradeoffs early
• Shape the agency and vendor strategy, including roster, selection, expectations and performance management (Operation Services handles onboarding and procurement admin)
• Build the plan and approach for delivering external events for players, creators, press, platforms and industry partners, etc.
• Build the trackers and reporting that give Marketing leadership real-time visibility into plans, readiness and spend
• Manage and coach the Marketing Operations team, and codify playbooks and best practices that can be reused as we move into live service

What Will Believe Will Make a Great Fit 

• 7–10+ years in business operations, project/program management, management consulting, or related roles, including a minimum of 4 years managing people through recurring operating cadences and cross-functional programs.
• Demonstrated experience owning executive-level governance and planning cadences (steering committees, business reviews) end to end, including agenda-setting and follow-through.
• Track record leading ambiguous, undefined problems to structured outcomes, including scoping, staffing, and sequencing initiatives with no existing playbook.
• Experience partnering with both centralized service organizations and product/BU-aligned teams, including hybrid structures.
• Comfortable operating in global, matrixed, high-ambiguity environments; gaming, entertainment, or media experience a plus but not required.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the judgment to know what to escalate and what to resolve independently.
• Strong systems-thinking and organizational skills; able to bring clarity and structure to complex, cross-functional planning and operations.
• Experience managing people and some exposure to budget and resource planning.

Bonus

• Knowledge of Google suite applications (slides, sheets, docs, etc), Miro, Confluence.
• Prior experience in a management consulting, corporate strategy, or PMO role.
• Familiarity with live-service game production, publishing, or marketing operations.
• Strong PC and Mac general computing skills
• Excited about gaming, understand game terms, and be up-to-date with what is happening in gaming.

The pay range for this position in California at the start of employment is expected to be between $176,600 and $261,380 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan and Employee Stock Purchase Program.
