Health Aide

Job TitleWork under guidance and direction of Coordinator of health services and/or school nurse, RN by assuming routine recordkeeping activities, administering medication, providing minor first aid care, conducting health screenings at campus level, and performing procedures necessary for care of students with disabilities.Education/Certification:High School diploma or GEDMust be certified in CPR, first aid and AEDSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Knowledge of basic first aid and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skillsProficient keyboarding and file maintenance skillsAbility to use personal computer and software to develop databases and do word processingAbility to communicate effectively (verbal and written)Experience:Preferred one year experience in health-related position, including contact with school-age children
