MRI Technologist - Radiology

Position Summary Perform MRI examinations for evaluation by research activities in the Center for Clinical Imaging Research (CCIR) at the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR). Aid in learning and utilizing new MR imaging technologies, train research and clinical technologists, and consult with CCIR personnel to implement best practices. Maintain flexibility to accommodate schedule changes to maximize use of CCIR resources. Job Description Primary Duties & Responsibilities Perform MRI scans on research study subjects approved by WashU, ensuring patient triage, care, and procedural guidance. Maintain research records accurately and timely, including electronic and digital data management and disk burning when required. Facilitate data transfer to various platforms using IT tools while upholding HIPAA regulations; promptly notify management of any violations or performance issues. Help train staff and develop instruction resources and best practices for project coordination. Communicate and provide feedback with CCIR staff and R&D groups; participate in monitoring visits by sponsors or regulatory agencies when needed.
