Key Responsibilities\n

  • Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of clients’ mood disorder symptoms, ensuring a multi-dimensional understanding of their challenges.

  • Collaborate intimately with clients to develop individualized treatment plans that cater to their unique needs, preferences, and aspirations.

  • Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), effectively adapting techniques to fit each client.

  • Educate clients and their families about mood disorders and treatment alternatives, while providing supportive guidance to foster self-care practices.

  • Continuously monitor client progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to reflect ongoing developments and setbacks in their recovery journey.

  • Engage in integrated care with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment for clients.

  • Stay updated with the latest research related to mood disorders, utilizing this knowledge to enhance treatment strategies.

  • Maintain meticulous records that comply with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding client confidentiality and data integrity.

  • Actively participate in case consultations and professional development sessions to nurture a culture of learning and support.

  • Serve as a client advocate, addressing issues of mental health stigma and ensuring that client needs are met effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on individuals suffering from mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will also work with high-risk populations such as the homeless, refugees, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your expertise as an LMFT will directly influence their healing journey and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

  • A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) .

  • A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.

Compensation and Benefits\n

  • Annual salary in the range of USD 70,000 - 90,000 , commensurate with qualifications and experience.
